OFFICIAL RESULTS

Voting Starts April 7th at 8 AM on BlackBoard

Summary

Every Spring, the Student Body of Longwood University gets to elect new representatives to the Student Government Senate, the University Judicial Board, and the University Honor Board, according to the Student Government Association Constitution.  Elections are held for one week, where the students elect representatives on BlackBoard.  Most representatives serve a one year term, staring in the Fall Semester and ending in the Spring Semester.  All representatives are sworn in by the Student Government President at different times. 

Important Dates (please make note of these if you are running for office!!!)

-March 17th Applications Go out (will be available online this year)
-March 18th SGA Open House
-March 31st Applications are due
-April 2 @ 8 PM Mandatory Elections Meeting in the C-Room of the Lankford Student Union
-April 7th Start of Elections
-April 11th End Elections @ 5:00 p.m. [top of page]

Other Information:

• Open SGA, Judicial Board, and Honor Board positions after the election are appointed by the leadership of that body. 
• Judicial Board elects a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer/SGA Representative, and Sergeants-at-Arms from within the Board in March.
• Honor Board elects a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, SGA Representative, and Sergeants-at-Arm from within the Board in March.
• Committees in the SGA are appointed and scheduled by the Vice-President.
