- Oktoberfest
We planned to hold a silent auction using books signed from professors and other donated material. We were rained out and forced to reserve these books for a book sale in the Spring.
- Dec. 3: Holiday Reading
Held at the local Farmville library, we read holiday books to children. These included A Night Before Christmas, The Polar Express, and others. We helped the children to make miniature non-eatable gingerbread houses and create their own wrapping paper. The kids also got to take home bells to remember The Polar Express.
Spring 2005
- Relay For Life
We collaborated with S-LATE (Students of Longwood Associate of Teaching English) to form a Relay For Life team, raising money for the American Cancer Society. We raised close to $500.
